Richard Nott (1963–2025), died at the age of 62. Widely regarded as one of Cornwall’s most influential and ambitious contemporary artists, he created a singular body of work that continually pushed the parameters of painting.

1999 12th International Weeks of Painting, Slovenia, organised by the Keleia Foundation. Twelve artists from Europe working in Piran in Slovenia; work produced exhibited in Austria and Slovenia. Richard Nott was recommended for this residency by Mike Tooby, then curator at Tate St Ives.
